Course Overview
This 8-hour Advanced Handgun course is designed for the intermediate or advanced shooter. In order to participate, students must already possess a solid foundation in drawing from a holster, reloading from the belt, and core fundamentals of grip and trigger control.
This class will be taught from open carry (USPSA) or concealed carry. This is not a basic handgun course. You will be required to draw and engage targets rapidly while moving and shooting from various positions.

Course Curriculum
- 01Moving and drawing – unloaded starts (table, seated, hands on barricade, etc.)
- 02Moving and shooting – forward, backwards and laterally
- 03Entering and exiting positions with walls, barricades and barrels
- 04Introduction to USPSA stages
- 05Reloading under stress while Moving
Equipment List
- Pistol (functional/practical/preferably semiautomatic) 9mm/.40cal/.45ACP
- 3 pistol magazines (single stack pistols should have double)
- A proper belt affixed holster and three magazine pouches that will retain equipment while moving.
- 300 rounds of factory ammunition
- Notepad and pen/pencil
- Seasonally appropriate clothing suited for strenuous activity on gravel/dirt
- Ear protection (electronic preferred) / Eye protection
- Hydration Lunch and Snacks
