This course is designed exclusively for the experienced hunter who has already developed a foundation with tripod platforms and hunting sticks but wants to tune their mechanics, eliminate wasted motion, and test their limits under pressure. It serves as both an accelerated refresher for past graduates of The Expeditionary Rifleman and a diagnostic tune-up for seasoned hunters preparing for an upcoming domestic or international excursion.

Rather than focusing on introductory theory, this fast-paced session jumps straight into practical application. We pinpoint minor inefficiencies in your setup, refine your stability mechanics, and challenge your ability to maintain flawless trigger control under time constraints. You will work through dynamic, real-world hunting scenarios designed to increase your deployment speed and tighten your shot groups from standing and kneeling field positions.

By the end of this intensive refresher, you will have dialed in your muscle memory, validated your mounting transitions, and reestablished the absolute confidence required to execute swift, ethical harvests at distances out to 200 yards.

Course Curriculum

  1. 01Eliminate Wasted Motion: Micro-adjust your deployment mechanics to shave critical seconds off your time-to-shot presentation.
  2. 02Dynamic Positional Tuning: Refine body geometry and bone support to build instant stability in standing and kneeling configurations.
  3. 03Stress & Time Management: Practice flawless trigger control and target acquisition under simulated field countdowns.
  4. 04Validation Out to 200 Yards: Prove your proficiency through live-fire tracking and engagement drills across variable distances.

Equipment List

  • Personal hunting rifle (optional — students are welcome to bring their own to validate their specific hunting setups)
  • Ammunition: 40 rounds minimum recommended for your personal rifle
  • Eye and ear protection

40 rounds minimum recommended for your personal rifle. All premium training rifles and matching rimfire ammunition are provided.

Prerequisites

  • Designed exclusively for the experienced hunter who has already developed a foundation with tripod platforms and hunting sticks.

What's Included

  • All premium training rifles and matching rimfire ammunition are provided and included in your tuition.
  • Tripod Platform: Bergara B-14 (.22 Rimfire) matching a classic Remington 700 footprint, mounted in an MPA chassis with an integrated Arca-Swiss rail.
  • Safari Sticks Platform: Bergara B-14 (.17 HMR) matching a classic Remington 700 footprint, optimized for rapid deployments on traditional three-legged sticks.

  • Private Refresher Formats & Tuition — 1-on-1 Precision Tune-Up: $350 (2-Hour Duration). 2-Person Skills Builder: $600 total (3-Hour Duration).
  • Students may use our Arca-rail or universal Hog Saddle tripod mounts to validate personal setups.
